Tarra Valley Tourist Park “Fernholme” PARK RULES
The following information and guidelines are provided to ensure guests to Our Tourist Park have an enjoyable stay.
Check In/out: Check in is from 2.00pm and Checkout is strictly 10am for camping and Cabins. No arrivals after 7.30pm unless prior arrangements have been made. Only 1 car per site and cabin permitted. Maximum of 6 people per site permitted.
Visitors: Visitors to your site or cabin are by prior arrangement only and must check in at office before entering park. Visitor’s cars are not permitted in the park. Visitors must leave by 8pm otherwise they will be considered as staying overnight, and an overnight fee will be charged.
Dogs: Dogs are only permitted with site bookings, by prior arrangement only. Dogs are not permitted in the BBQ Sheds, Playground, or near the Toilet Block. Dogs are NOT permitted with Cabin bookings . All “doggy doo” must be collected and placed in a plastic bag and put in the rubbish bins. Dogs are NOT allowed in the National Park.
Dogs must be on a lead at all times, and not left unattended. Dog owners are responsible, and will be held to be so, for any injuries and/or property damage or losses in relation to any actions by or because of their dog.
By paying the site fees dog owners agree to abide by all rules relating to dogs in the park. Tarra Valley Caravan Park staff reserve the right to evict any guest without refund or prior warning for ignoring any rule, or whose dog is deemed noisy, disruptive, aggressive or the subject to complaints from other guests. It is solely the dog owners responsibility to control and manage their dog.
Fires: Fires are only permitted in the fire drums supplied. Please be aware of your surroundings and have a 10L bucket of water within reach of your fire. Fires are not to be left unattended. There may be times when fires are not permitted for safety reasons, and we have the right to ask you to extinguish the fire if there are any concerns on management’s part.
You are most welcome to have a fire in one of the BBQ sheds. Fire Wood is available for $15.00 a bag. 10L Buckets can be purchased from the office.
Telephone: A public phone box is located outside the office. Emergency Services numbers are located in the phone box. Mobile service can be accessed within just a short drive.
Children 10 and Under MUST be supervised at all times in the toilets and showers.
Garbage: Please help us to comply with our eco friendly star rating by placing all recyclables in the appropriate bins provided. Please wrap all other garbage and place in the appropriate bins. Take home your broken chairs, mattresses etc, or a fee will be charged to your account for rubbish tip fees!!
Noise: The peaceful enjoyment of our park and its facilities by all guests is important to us. Please assist by being considerate to your neighbours and restrict noise after 10.00pm and before 7.00am Music is to be contained within your site then all music must be turned off by 10.00 pm
BBQ Shed: The BBQ sheds are for everyone’s enjoyment. Please tidy up before you leave. Noise that disturbs others is not permitted at any time and all noise must cease at 10.00pm
Laundry: There is a washing machine and dryer in the laundry at the amenities block. Laundry powder can be purchased at reception.
Trees: Trees around the park are inspected regularly however trees and branches may still fall from time to time. Persons entering the park do so at their own risk. No responsibility will be accepted for person or property damage caused by falling trees or branches.
Trenching: Trenching around tents or annexes is NOT permitted. $20.00 Grass Levi Applies to any Trenching.
Games/DVD’s: We have a selection of these for overnight hire at the office. Please call in during office hours.
Bicycles: Helmets must be worn at all times. Please ride bikes at walking pace and bike riding is not permitted around the toilet block or cabins.Strictly No Skidding.
CHAINSAWS and GENERATORS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO BE USED IN THE CARAVAN PARK
Emergencies/ Emergency Evacuation
Please take the time to familiarize yourself with the emergency evacuation plans displayed in amenities and cabins. The park map also details the emergency plan.There is a night buzzer at reception for emergencies, only.
Park Management reserves the right to direct any park patron (including visitors), to leave the park if that person refuses to comply with the park rules, causes a nuisance, or interferes with the use and enjoyment of the park.
